What about a skeleton key or a book about safe cracking, now we have to destroy the safe just to use it, why not make the crates in the tool store or whatever just open instead of making us wear out tools just trying to open them. Now we have to bang away on a safe a hundred times just to find anything in it. They seem to have their minds fixed on adding things that just make the game less and less fun. Pretty soon they'll make so many things so much more difficult everyone will probably leave anyway. I am from coal country, we can drive down the highway and find much coal along the highway just where they have to cut through the hills and I am sure if I was in an area with iron or whatever I'd see the same thing but they've got to mess things up and make us have to go through a bunch of crap just to find minerals, guess I better just give up. I was checking to see if minerals are readily available or if we still have to go into caves, climb, swim and build ways through impassible areas just to find minerals and ran into all this crap before I could even figure it out. One day I'll come back in and so much of just the basic interface will have changed that it will be like just starting over. LOL I keep returning to the game to check if they've made things better again and find they've messed things up again.
